GERANIUM ESSENTIAL OIL
A hairy perennial shrub, often used in hedgerows, and will stand up to about one meter high (3 feet) with pointed leaves, serrated at the edges and with flowers that range from red to a pinkish white. Geranium plants originated in South Africa, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco and were introduced to European countries in the 17th century. There are over 200 species of geranium, of which some are scented and some not.

ODOR/AROMA: middle note with a strong aroma, Geranium Essential Oil derived from the Rose Geranium usually has a softer scent with a rosy floral aroma than this Geranium Essential Oil derived from non-Rose Geranium.

COMMON USES: The petals are used in gourmet jellies and confections, and the oil is widely used in scented topical applications.
CAUTIONS: For external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals. A skin test is recommended prior to use, dilute prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
STORAGE: It is recommended that oils be packaged in colored glass or metal containers to protect the oil from air/light/moisture, keep it fresh, maintain the maximum shelf life, and for safe shipping.
